Adult Volunteers with Devon Youth Service

Devon Youth Service’s work with young people is a partnership between volunteers and paid youth workers.  The volunteer’s gift of time, skills and experience is valued as it will enable the Service to extend its capacity to provide valuable services to young people.  By doing so, it is Devon Youth Service’s aim that volunteers should gain satisfaction from this partnership and that the relationship is one of mutual benefit.

If so desired by the volunteer, the Youth Service will assist the volunteer in maintaining appropriate records of volunteer experience that will assist the volunteer in their own development (future career opportunities, both paid and unpaid).

Volunteers can chose to get involved in a variety of activities with Devon Youth Service these range from making a regular commitment to supporting a youth centre programme on an agreed evening each week to sharing skills, hobbies and interests with young people on an occasional basis.

To find out what volunteer options are available contact the local Youth Service Team Leader.
