NEW YOUTH FACILITY FOR DAWLISH

It may have taken many years of campaigning, raising local awareness, fundraising and seeking bids, but a new Integrated Youth Centre is now almost complete Dawlish! (located adjacent to both the Dawlish Leisure Centre and Dawlish Town Football Club on Sandy Lane)
This building will be a real landmark for the community, and is the culmination of years of work on the part of local young people and youth workers, Dawlish Action for Youth (DAY) and local councillors and organisations. With a grant of £1.7 million through the myplace Fast Track initiative operated by Big Lottery Fund on behalf of the Government's DCSF (Department for Children, Schools and Families), the proposal for a Centre of Excellence for the young people of Dawlish is fast becoming a reality.
One of only 21 successful fast-track bids nationally, this new building will provide a much needed 'world class' venue for the delivery of positive activities and support services for those young people of Dawlish and the surrounding area.
