Accreditations
Youth Achievement Award
The Youth Achievement Awards have been specifically designed for youth services. These awards are nationally recognised, and certificated through the awarding body ASDAN . They are participative and empowering, activities are needs and interest led. Youth Achievement Awards are available to young people aged 14. For those under 14 years, there are 3 awards in the Youth Challenge series.
Development and accreditation of Youth Achievement Awards is achieved using a peer led approach. Young people develop a portfolio of their learning and achievements.
There are opportunities for progression through a range of levels which are linked to Key Skills, and can lead to further accreditation
There are four levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum
Young people can start at Bronze and work their way through or enter at the appropriate level for them. Young people achieve awards by choosing and completing challenges. These challenges are drawn from three theme areas: Interests, Concerns and Your Future
